Think you don’t have time to earn your degree? Think again!

Family and job responsibilities don’t have to be an obstacle to earning your college degree. Atlantic Cape Community College offers 13 associate degree programs entirely online, as well as credits toward any of the college’s 53 degree programs.

Courses are accessible 24/7, so you can log on and work on your coursework at your convenience…on your lunch break, after work or on weekends, whenever it’s convenient for you.

Atlantic Cape was the first community college in the state to create opportunity by offering a full degree program at a distance, to accommodate the 24-hour schedules of casino and tourism employees.

“The courses are particularly convenient for parents of young children, those in the military, police officers, firefighters, the disabled, those recovering from illness and those who have flexible work schedules,” said Michelle Perkins, director of Instructional Technology.

You’ll need a computer with an Internet connection. Through email and online discussion boards, you’ll meet with other students and your instructor in a true “classroom without walls.”

“Students take a mix of online and on-campus courses,” said Dr. Ronald McArthur, dean of liberal studies. “The college also offers hybrid courses that meet in person less frequently and allow students to do most work online.”

You must be an independent learner who can manage time effectively. You’ll communicate with your instructor and other students online as if you were in a regular classroom, posting comments to class discussions, submitting homework, and chatting with fellow classmates.
